Design
One of the best features of the 2024 Wrangler is the number of ways you can configure it. Unlike most SUVs in its class, it can be customized to suit a wide variety of individual needs and preferences. Off-roaders will be grateful for the many features found even in the exceedingly budget-friendly Sport trim. However, nothing beats the thrill of hitting roads and trails once you’ve removed the Wrangler’s roof and its two or four doors, depending on your model.
Jeep has put a lot of thoughtful standard features even on the lowest trim level. So many of them seem to be included to add as much comfort and convenience as possible to long road trips. Cruise control, driver’s seat lumbar support, front and back seat illuminated beverage holders, and even a compass are all included.
Performance
Since the Wrangler was originally created for military purposes, off-road capability was probably one of its most important features. So it should come as no surprise that the Wrangler shines brightest when leaving the pavement behind. Rocks and debris pose no problems to its 4-wheel drive, which is standard across the entire line.
The lowest Sport trim comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine delivering 285 hp and a six-speed manual transmission. Although automatic stop and start will shut the engine down by default when you come to a full stop and restart when it’s time to move again, you can disable this feature easily if you don’t want or need it.
Technology
The Sport Base model has a standard 8-speaker audio system with AM/FM and satellite radio, speed-sensitive volume, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. All 2024 Wrangler models have a large 12.3-inch display on their infotainment systems. Even the lowest trim level has Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system installed, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice-activated audio commands.
A highlight of the 2024 Wrangler that sets it apart from competitors is the unique standard onboard navigation system. It has maps for over 2,000 trails and offers access to even more maps available for download.
